Saratoga Springs Branch
Teachers and Teacher Assistants: The Saratoga Regional YMCA’s Preschool Program is seeking part-time Teachers and Teacher Assistants in our Saratoga and Wilton Preschool classrooms.
Eligible Teacher candidates must enjoy working with children, possess strong communication and organizational skills; and possess a CDA, Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s Degree in Education or a related field.
Teacher Assistant candidates must have experience working with children.
Preschool classes are held in the morning and afternoon, 3 to 5 days each week.

Youth Basketball Coach: The Saratoga Regional YMCA’s Saratoga Springs Branch is currently seeking a Coach to lead our co-ed youth basketball programs.
Little Shots Basketball is for 4 & 5 years. This program is an introduction for boys and girls who are interested in basketball. Using basketball drills, they will learn the fundamentals of basketball: dribbling, passing, shooting, and build muscle memory while increasing their hand/eye coordination.
Mini Shots Basketball is for 6 & 7 years. This program is designed to learn the fundamentals of basketball such as dribbling, passing, and shooting are taught and carried out in mini scrimmages.
Small Shots Basketball is for 8 & 9 years. This program is designed for boys and girls, ages 8-9, to develop fundamental basketball skills such as dribbling, shooting, passing, offense, and defense. Players will learn in a supportive, safe, and non-competitive environment where focus is on learning the game, meeting new friends, and having fun.
Junior Shots Basketball is for 10, 11 & 12 years. This program is designed for boys and girls, ages 10-12, to develop fundamental basketball skills such as dribbling, shooting, passing, offense, and defense with a focus on increasing game play ability. Players will learn in a supportive, safe, and non-competitive environment while learning the game, meeting new friends, and having fun.
Classes will be scheduled as follows: Mondays through Wednesdays: 3:30-5:30 p.m.
Applicants must have experience playing and/or coaching basketball, as well as working with children. Must be available for all three days and be 18 years of age.

School Age Supervisors and Assistants: The Saratoga Regional YMCA’s Before and After School Enrichment Program (B.A.S.E.) currently has openings for School Age Site Supervisors and Assistants. *please note: start date these positions is late August 2017.*
These positions involve supervising children in Kindergarten – 7th grade with homework assistance, structured activity, play, guidance and support. Care is also provided for half-days, early dismissal days and scheduled holidays from school. Eligible candidates need to be self-motivated individuals willing to work as a team to provide a safe, enriching and rewarding environment for school age children. Positions will be based out of Saratoga Springs City School District, Ballston Spa Central School District, as well as the Saratoga Regional YMCA’s facility.
Candidates must be available Monday through Friday from 6:45 – 9:15 am AND/OR 3:00 – 6:00 pm. These positions REQUIRE prior child care experience. Training & Certification in First Aid and CPR will be provided by the Saratoga Regional YMCA.

Member Service Representative: The Saratoga Regional YMCA’s Wilton Branch is seeking out-going, fun and friendly Member Service Representatives.
The Member Service Representative is responsible for providing excellent customer service to all members and program participants. This includes greeting members by name, scanning membership cards, registering members for programs, membership sales, and tours. Answering phones, appropriately fielding/answering questions and maintain an accurate cash drawer are also required for successful job completion.
Eligible candidates should possess excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, be eager to provide help to members when needed, able to take initiative and problem solve, and be flexible with scheduling needs. Prior work experience in a customer oriented environment is preferred, as well as basic computer, database and office equipment skills.
Evening and weekend availability is a must.

BATTENKILL BRANCH DIRECTOR: The Saratoga Regional YMCA is seeking a dynamic and motivated Branch Director to join our team at the Battenkill branch located in Greenwich.
This position is responsible for the daily operations and all programs related to the Battenkill Branch, as well as quality control, member services, health and wellness, program development, budgeting and financial results which will ensure the successful operation of the branch through membership retention and program satisfaction. The Director must be able to oversee a local school based program and maintain strong community relationships.
Candidates must be self-motivated, well-organized, professional, dependable, and possess excellent communication skills. Relationship building and fundraising skills are critical for success in this role.
Four years YMCA or similar business experience, as well as 1+ years supervisory experience is required. Associates degree preferred. Ability to instruct a variety of group fitness classes, as well as personal training is a plus.

Malta Childcare Center
Three Year Old Lead Teacher: Our NYS Licensed Malta Child Care Center is currently seeking a full-time Preschool 3’s Lead Teacher.
This position requires candidates to provide a safe and welcoming learning environment to children between the ages of 3 years old and 4 years old. One must be able to take initiative in ensuring that the needs of the children are met and provide direction to support staff in the classroom. They must have the ability to establish relationships with parents through open lines of communication.
The chosen candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe environment for children while maintaining NYS regulations. Lesson plans will also be required for the classroom to ensure the developmental needs of the children are being met. The chosen candidate will be held accountable for furthering their knowledge base through trainings and conferences.
Candidates must possess an Associate’s Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a CDA in preschool with at least 1 year of experience.
