YMCA Offers Special Rates for Veterans

May 24, 2019

The Saratoga Regional YMCA announces special membership rates to honor U.S. Military Veterans and their families.  Veterans with a service connected disability are eligible to receive up to 75% off membership rates at all branches of the Saratoga Regional YMCA.  In addition, SRYMCA continues to offer a reduced rate for military personnel without a disability.  The association is pleased to have these opportunities to show its gratitude to those who have served our country and community.

“We are happy to offer this to the veterans of our community.  The Saratoga Regional YMCA is a place for all and an opportunity like this really exemplifies the inclusivity we stand for. We have the ability and duty to impact our community in a positive way, so we are doing just that,” said Steve Butler, Membership and Program Executive.

Veterans that join the Y are able to take part in activities and programs that increase their health and wellbeing, as well as become part of a community that is supportive.

“Saratoga County is proud to be home to close to 18,000 veterans who’ve served our nation. It’s great to have community partners like the YMCA show appreciation for their service through this new program. This is just another way that those in the Saratoga County community honor our veterans each and every day,” said Frank McClement, Director of Saratoga County Veterans Service Agency.

Veterans and their families interested in receiving a reduced fee membership are encouraged to visit their local branch.  SRYMCA branches are located conveniently in Corinth, Greenwich, Malta, Saratoga Springs, and Wilton.

Financial assistance is also available to children, teens, adults and families who cannot afford the full cost of a Y membership or program.  For more information, please visit www.srymca.org.
