The Impact of Giving. Real People. Real Stories.

For Ann, a single mother balancing work and family, the support of the Saratoga Regional YMCA has been life-changing.
With the help of financial assistance from the Y, Ann is able to ensure her daughter has access to safe, reliable before and after school care—giving her the stability she needs to succeed at work and the peace of mind every parent deserves. More importantly, it’s given her daughter a place to grow, connect, and feel a true sense of belonging.
“I don't know where we would be without this program,” Ann shared. “It has lifted a huge weight from my shoulders and given my daughter a place where she feels secure, supported, and valued.”
Stories like Ann’s are at the heart of the Y’s 2026 Annual Campaign. They are a powerful reminder that this effort is about more than dollars raised—it’s about opening doors, strengthening families, and creating opportunities for all.
As Saratoga Regional YMCA Chief Executive Officer Allison D’Antonia shared, the Annual Campaign is also a time to reflect on the collective impact of a caring community.
“Their journeys remind our community of what it has done for 160 years—come together with generosity and purpose,” said D’Antonia. “When people give, they ensure that the Y’s mission not only thrives today, but continues to change lives for generations to come.”
Watch Ann share her story in her own words in this interview with WNYT’s Sabrina Dhammi.
