Athletic Training Center Programs

The Athletic Training Center (ATC) is a semi private training space located within our Wilton Branch dedicated to making you move better, feel better, and be better.  In the ATC we will run  a variety of private and semi private personal training/coaching programs. The ATC Staff are passionate about helping you achieve your best and committed to getting and keeping you healthy. All of the following programs will take place in the Athletic Training Center, unless otherwise noted.

FUNCTIONAL FITNESS (18+ years)

  • Functional fitness classes are movement based classes designed to challenge you both mentally and physically. Each class is 60 minutes long and will consist of a warm up, movement prep, movement (work out), and finally a cool down.

WOMEN ON WEIGHTS

  • This program teaches women proper weight-lifting etiquette, technique and routine. The goals of Women on Weights are to assist women in improving posture, increasing strength and losing body mass. You’ll see both an increase in strength and a positive transformation to your body! Plus, you’ll be given a notebook to track your workouts and witness your success!

ACTIVE OLDER ADULT CLASSES (55+ years)

  • Move for Balance
    Get stronger by using your own bodyweight to perform single sided movements and target muscle imbalances while increasing overall balance and coordination.
  • Strength & Stability:
    • In this strength class the movements performed build a foundation of both lower body and upper body pushing and pulling to increase muscular strength and range of motion.
  • Mobility & Joint Health:
    • A combination of gentle yoga poses and bodyweight movements designed to help joints stay healthy, ease the effects of arthritis and general stiffness, and improve range of motion!

NUTRITION

  • Diabetes Prevention
    • Through an interactive small group format, participants will learn about the basics of diabetes prevention and the foundations of a healthy and balanced lifestyle. the program includes discussions on goal setting, physical activity, food preparation, weight loss and more.
  • Nutrition 101
    • Good nutrition is the key to strong and sustainable wellness! By understanding the relationship between nutrients and your health, you can feel empowered in the food decision making process, resulting in increased energy, better overall health and a lower risk for chronic diseases. Nutrition 101 will teach you the building blocks of a healthy diet and how to incorporate changes into your already busy lifestyle.
