On Thursday, October 13^th, the Saratoga Regional YMCA hosted its second annual Impact Celebration at the Saratoga Hilton to celebrate and reflect on its success with staff, volunteers, donors, board members and community partners. During the celebration, SRYMCA awarded its former Board President and CFO of the Fort Miller Group, Rick Schumaker, the prestigious Frederic J. Resseguie Leadership Award.

This Welcoming Week (September 9-18), the Saratoga Regional YMCA will join Welcoming America, other YMCAs, and organizations nationwide to celebrate immigrants’ contributions to communities and bring together all residents in a spirit of unity.  Each year, Welcoming Week elevates the growing movement of communities that fully embrace new Americans and their contributions to the social fabric of the country.  The event is an opportunity for neighbors—both immigrants and U.S.-born residents—to get to know one another and celebrate what unites people as a community.

Jane Renzi is a longtime Y member, employee and dear friend who has recently made a big move to South Carolina to live closer to family. Before departing, we sat down with Jane to talk about her time with the Y and how much it’s impacted her life.

It is with awe and great appreciation that the Corinth C.A.R.E committee accepted the school supply donations from the Saratoga YMCA Togetherhood Committee! Our group of volunteer teachers and staff will be busily organizing these supplies for students participating in our Back to School Fair on August 31st. We are so grateful to be part of a generous community working to ease the transition of Back to School for families and get our students excited for a fun new school year.
