At the Y, youth sports are about more than learning how to dribble a basketball, kick a soccer ball, or win a game. They’re about giving every child a place to play, grow in confidence, and discover what it means to be part of a team.

Every summer, campers arrive at the YMCA ready for new adventures – whether it’s climbing the ropes course, trying archery for the first time, jumping into the pool, or making new friends. For many of our camp counselors, those same adventures began years ago when they were campers themselves.

At this year's Annual LIVESTRONG Luncheon, more than 200 guests came together in a powerful show of community spirit — and together, they raised $45,000 to support cancer survivors right here in our region. That's an incredible $11,000 increase over last year, and a testament to just how much this community cares.
