Yoga Teacher Training

200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training at the Y

Take the next step in your yoga journey with our 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training—a comprehensive, Yoga Alliance–registered program designed to help you grow as both a practitioner and a teacher.

A Thoughtfully Designed Curriculum
Developed in partnership with an experienced instructional designer, this program blends the art and science of yoga. You'll learn to design and lead safe, effective hatha and vinyasa classes while building a strong personal practice—with clarity, depth, and real-world application at every stage.

What You'll Learn
The curriculum covers teaching methodology, anatomy and its application to asana, and the art of peak pose sequencing. You'll also explore meditation and pranayama, yoga history, key philosophical teachings, and subtle body systems—including the chakras, koshas, and vayus—for a truly holistic understanding of the practice.

Hands-On Experience
Experiential learning is central to this training. Through asana labs, practice teaching, and structured practicums, you'll refine your skills, build confidence, and develop your own voice as a teacher.

Who This Program Is For
This training is ideal for anyone looking to deepen their connection to yoga—whether you aspire to teach or simply want to immerse yourself more fully in the practice. No advanced poses or extreme flexibility required. You're encouraged to grow at your own pace. Participants must be 18 or older.
