Saratoga Regional YMCA Board of Directors Elects New Members

May 1, 2020

The Saratoga Regional YMCA is pleased to announce the election of two new members to the nonprofit’s board of directors.  The Y has 18 board members who set strategic direction and policy to guide the Y’s work of strengthening the community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.

The Saratoga Regional YMCA welcomes new board members:

  • Erik Geizer, Deputy Executive Director & Corporate Compliance Officer, The Arc New York
  • Scott Peterson, founding partner of D’Orazio Peterson law office

“The Y is a volunteer-founded and a volunteer-led organization and I am grateful that these two highly capable Y members will be providing leadership to the Saratoga Regional YMCA,” said Rick Schumaker, President of the Board of Directors.  “I look forward to working with Erik and Scott, who bring their professional skills as well as their Y experience to further advance the Y’s mission.”

The Y extends a sincere appreciation to outgoing board member Paul Loomis, a Malta resident and Controller at Gilbane Building Company, for his dedication and service to the Y and its communities.

“I thank Paul for his 9 years of service as a dedicated board member.  Paul has been a vital part of our board and provided much needed leadership and vision during our successful Malta capital project; which further expanded our membership and has allowed us to serve three times as many members in the new facility.”  Paul will continue to serve as a volunteer on the Y’s Capital Planning Committee.
