The Saratoga Regional YMCA Joins Five Days of Action to Protect Children from Sexual Abuse

April 15, 2024

The Saratoga Regional YMCA is participating in the Five Days of Action, April 15-19, 2024. The Five Days of Action is a weeklong campaign to raise awareness and inspire adults to take action to protect children from sexual abuse. By taking part in this important campaign and implementing abuse prevention practices year-round, the Saratoga Regional YMCA is committing to the safety of all children in our community.

Help raise awareness and show your commitment to protecting children in our community from sexual abuse by signing a pledge card in your local branch now through April 19th.

The Saratoga Regional YMCA encourages adults and organizations to join in marking this special week as we come together to make the community a safer place for children to live, learn, and play. With summer right around the corner—when children gather for activities and camps, it is a wonderful time to bring attention to the simple ways we can all make the children in our community safer.

“The children in our community have the right to a happy and safe childhood, and it's our responsibility as adults and organizations to stand up to protect that right,” said Jennifer Hall, Executive Director of Early Learning at the Saratoga Regional YMCA.

“By joining in the Five Days of Action campaign, we hope to inspire other organizations and members of our community to create safe spaces that protect children from sexual abuse.”

We take our commitment to child protection seriously and we hope you do too.  To learn more visit https://www.ymca.org/what-we-do/healthy-living/water-safety
