Stingray Swimmer Places 1st at the NYS YMCA Championships!

Saratoga Regional YMCA Stingray swimmer, Sophia Alonzo, recently placed first in the 9/10 Girls 50 Butterfly event this past weekend at the NYS YMCA Championships where she also set a new Stingrays team record! 

Sophia had to be out of the pool for 3 months recovering from a medical procedure and was able to come back in time to train and compete at Y States.  Sophia led the Stingrays with 83 points, hitting best times in all five of her events that she competed in.
